How I work

Each icon is composed of four main parts – layers.

The third layer – painting, consisting of drawing and painting materials: pigments, prepared with natural egg emulsion.

In accordance with this work over the icon is divided into four main stages: the basis of selection, application of soil, painting and fixing it.

The basis is usually lime board. Boards for icons, made all the canonical rules I order in the workshop Monastery Poschupovo village (Russia).
